• Let Warranty Valet assist you in claiming Goodyear warranty hassle-free.

Step 1:

  • Before visiting a service center, you must verify that your tires have been maintained according to professional standards. To remain eligible for a Tread Life Limited Warranty or Cooper Tread Wear Protection, you must ensure your tires were rotated in accordance with the prescribed patterns (typically every 6,000 to 8,000 miles). Irregular wear caused by a lack of rotation or mechanical issues like misalignment is generally excluded from factory backed credits.

  • You should have your Original Purchase Invoice ready, as it is a mechanical necessity for documenting the vehicle’s mileage at the time of installation. For those utilizing the 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (or the 45-day pledge for Cooper and Kelly), ensure the tires are undamaged and free from road hazard impacts. Digital or physical records of your service history will act as your "proof of care" during the evaluation.

Step 2:

  • If you experience ride disturbances, vibrations, or premature wear, you must coordinate with an authorized Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, or Cooper retailer for a physical diagnostic. The technician will measure the remaining tread depth to determine if the tire has worn down to the treadwear indicators (2/32") and inspect for covered conditions such as workmanship defects or materials failure.

  • For satisfaction-based exchanges, you must return to the original location that sold the tires. If you are seeking a Highway Auto & Light Truck Tire-Replacement, the dealer will check for "out of round" conditions or uniformity issues. Note that any material added to the tire after leaving the factory such as sealants, fillers, or balancing substances may result in a denial of the claim, as these alter the original factory specifications.

Step 3:

  • Once the technical team authorizes your claim, they will process a hardware credit rather than a cash refund. For treadwear claims, a Pro Rata Adjustment is calculated by dividing the actual mileage delivered by the warranted mileage. This credit is then applied toward the advertised selling price of a comparable new tire from the Goodyear family.

  • If your claim falls within the "free replacement" window (typically the first 2/32" of wear or the first year of ownership), the tire may be swapped at no charge for the hardware itself. You will remain responsible for government-mandated taxes and the costs associated with mounting and balancing. This structured restoration ensures your vehicle is returned to the road with fresh, reliable rubber while accounting for the usage you have already received.
