• Let Warranty Valet assist you in claiming GRAVELY warranty hassle-free.

Step 1:

  • Access the Gravely Support portal or refer to your Operator’s Manual to identify fault codes or troubleshooting steps for your specific model. Before filing a claim, you must verify that the machine is experiencing a defect in material or workmanship that is not the result of "normal wear" items like blades or belts.

  • Identify your Model Number and Serial Number located on the product's ID plate. Contact your local authorized Gravely dealer to report the technical malfunction. Providing specific details on the failure whether it’s a hydraulic sluggishness or an electrical ignition issue allows the dealer to triage the urgency and schedule a shop slot.

Step 2:

  • Once your claim is validated by an authorized technician, the dealer will initiate the repair. For valid warranty claims, Gravely covers the full cost of genuine replacement parts and the labor required to install them. Note that unlike consumer electronics, the owner is responsible for the transportation costs to and from the dealership.

  • Ensure your maintenance logs are updated, as the factory may request proof that the engine oil and filters were changed at the required intervals. If the dealer determines a major component like the deck shell or frame is defective, these specific parts often carry extended, sometimes limited lifetime, structural warranties

Step 3:

  • Your equipment is serviced by factory-trained technicians using genuine Gravely or AriensCo parts. Once the repair is finished, the dealer performs a functional safety check to ensure the machine meets original performance standards. The dealer then finalizes the claim through the internal AriensCo warranty system.

  • For verified manufacturing flaws, the brand prioritizes a rapid return to the jobsite. Once the repair is granted, the replacement parts carry a 90-day warranty, while the machine itself continues under the remainder of its original protection window (e.g., the 4-year/750-hour or 5-year/1500-hour term).

GRAVELY Warranty Period:

  • Gravely mowers generally feature a 3-year to 5-year commercial or consumer warranty, depending on the model, with many pro-sumer models offering up to 4 years or 500-750 hours.

Real Experiences with GRAVELY Warranty Claims:

Typical Processing Time: The standard turnaround for a Gravely dealer repair is 5 to 10 business days, depending on the season and part availability. During the spring "mowing rush," wait times can be longer.

Reason for Common Delays: The most frequent cause for delay is failing to register the product at the time of purchase. This requires the dealer to call the factory to manually verify the ship date, which can add 48 hours to the intake process.

Helpful Tip to make the claim easier: Check your Hydro-Gear oil levels and drive belts before heading to the dealer. Many "loss of power" issues are simple belt slips or low fluid levels. If you do go to the dealer, bring a photo of the Hour Meter showing the current time; this helps the technician quickly verify your eligibility for the "No Hour Limit" phase of the warranty.

  • Limited Lifetime Frame & Deck Shell: Industry-leading structural assurance for the original purchaser against cracks or workmanship failure in the main frame and deck.
  • No Hour Limit (First 2 Years): Special eligibility for high-use commercial customers where hour limits are waived during the first 24 months of ownership on select models.
  • 90-Day Parts & Accessories Warranty: Focused protection for non-serialized service parts and attachments purchased over the counter.

What is NOT covered under the GRAVELY Warranty?

Exclusions: Protection Limitations

  • Routine Maintenance & Wear Items: Protection is strictly excluded for blades, belts, tires, air filters, spark plugs, and lubricants.
  • Pick-up and Delivery Fees: The warranty does not cover the cost of transporting the equipment to the dealer; these are solely the owner's responsibility.
  • Unauthorized Alterations: The warranty is void if the machine has been modified with non-approved attachments or if the engine governor has been tampered with.
  • Fuel-Related Failures: Damage caused by using gasoline blends exceeding 10% ethanol (E10) is not covered and may void the engine warranty.
  • Rental/Lease Limitations: If a product is used for rental or lease purposes, the warranty period is strictly limited to 90 days from the date of purchase.
  • Battery Proration: While batteries are covered for 12 months, reimbursement is often capped (typically at $45.00 USD) and may be prorated after the first 90 days.

GRAVELY Warranty FAQs

How long is my residential mower warranty?

For residential models like the ZT HD, the warranty is typically 4 years or 500 hours, whichever comes first. Premium commercial models can extend up to 5 years or 1500 hours.

Are the engines covered by Gravely or the engine brand?

While Gravely supports the overall machine, the engine (Kawasaki, Yamaha, or Kohler) is often warranted by the engine manufacturer itself. However, your Gravely dealer is still the primary point of contact for coordinating these repairs.

What if I bought my mower from a "Big Box" store like Lowe's?

Even if purchased at a large retailer, warranty service must be performed by an authorized independent Gravely dealer. You must register your Lowe's or Home Depot purchase on the Gravely website to activate the coverage.
