• Let Warranty Valet assist you in claiming Protec warranty hassle-free.

Step 1:

  • Before beginning, confirm that your tool's issue is a result of a manufacturing flaw in materials or workmanship. The warranty specifically excludes damage caused by misuse, alteration, neglect, or normal wear and tear on items like belts, brushes, blades, and batteries. Note that tools used for professional or commercial purposes have a reduced coverage period of 90 days.

  • Ensure you have a copy of your Proof of Purchase that clearly defines the date and place of purchase. To be eligible, the tool must have been bought through a direct vendor of Great Lakes Technologies, LLC; purchasing from third-party secondhand merchants (pawn shops, resale shops, etc.) voids the warranty.

  • While not strictly required for a claim, you are highly encouraged to complete your Product Registration on the official WEN website immediately after purchase. This secures your tool's history in the system and is the best way to report any missing or damaged parts, which must be documented within 30 days of the purchase date.

Step 2:

  • To initiate a claim, you must compile your "Support Kit" to help the technical team diagnose the issue. This includes your shipping address, phone number, the tool’s Serial Number, and the specific part numbers required for the fix.

  • You must provide a clear description of the problem to help the repairs department accurately fix the issue. In many cases, WEN may require you to send the damaged or defective parts to their facility before a replacement can be shipped out.

  • If a WEN representative confirms your product qualifies for repair, you will need to ship the tool in its original container (or equivalent) with the shipping charges prepaid by you. Ensure the product is fully insured and includes a copy of your receipt inside the box.

Step 3:

  • Once the tool is received and the warranty claim is authorized, WEN will perform the necessary repairs or part replacements at no charge. For addresses within the contiguous United States, the repaired product will be shipped back to you free of charge.

  • If you have questions or need to make arrangements for a return, you must reach out directly to the support team.

Protec Warranty Period:

  • Home Use Power Tools: 2 Years warranty or 500 hours of use, whichever comes first.
